Restaurant Architecture

Restaurants designed to turn tables and keep them coming back.

A restaurant is a machine for hospitality: every seat, sightline, and kitchen step either makes money or costs it. LEAP designs restaurant architecture in New York and New Jersey where the atmosphere guests remember and the workflow staff depend on are engineered together.

Front of house, back of house, one design

Great restaurant design is choreography. The guest experiences arrival, seating, lighting, acoustics, and the pace of service as one continuous impression; the staff experiences the same building as a set of distances — steps from pass to table, from dish pit to storage, from bar to well. We design both performances at once, because a beautiful dining room with a broken kitchen line fails just as fast as the reverse.

The numbers side matters too: cover counts, table mix, bar revenue per square foot, and dwell time are design inputs at LEAP, not afterthoughts. Tell us your target check average and turns per night, and we will show you the floor plan that supports the math.

What we handle

The unglamorous parts, done right.

Kitchen and service flow

Line layouts, hood and MEP coordination, walk-in placement, and the service paths that decide whether a Friday night hums or collapses. We coordinate directly with your chef and kitchen consultant.

Atmosphere engineering

Acoustics that let guests talk, lighting layered from daytime coffee to late-night cocktails, and materials that survive service while looking better with age. Ambience is a system, and we design it deliberately.

Code, health, and permits

Health-department requirements, accessibility compliance, egress, ventilation, grease and fire suppression, landlord work letters, and municipal filings — the approval maze is our job, so opening day stays yours.

Opening or renovating a restaurant?

Bring us the concept, the space, and the target open date — we will tell you honestly whether the three can meet, and design backward from opening night.
